Slow Cooker Chex Mix Recipe

Summer is here! And that means that I have my kids at home all day, and those of you with kids know how much they can eat right? Ha! So I’m always looking for easy snacks to have available to them. Chex Mix is one of my daughters favorite snacks to have, but buying the premade bags can get expensive. I have found that making chex mix at home is much cheaper and it tastes better! What is even better than homemade chex mix? Homemade Chex Mix in the slow cooker! Yes, it can be done, how cool is that right!? I love finding new ways to use my slow cooker that I haven’t thought about before and this slow cooker chex mix recipe is one of my new favorite!

Here is what you will need to make Slow Cooker Chex Mix Recipe:

Ingredients

4 cups rice Chex
4 cups wheat Chex
4 cups Pretzels-2 cups Peanuts
2 cups jalepeno pretzel chunks (this ingredient is optional, but if you like your food a little spicy you will love it!)
1/2 cup melted butter
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

In your slowcooker combine all of your dry ingredients. Melt your butter and mix in your Worcestershire sauce and pour over the chex mix. Toss everything together and cook on LOW for 1-3 hours, or until everything is crispy. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks!
How easy is that right? Now you have a homemade snack (and quite a bit of it!) for your kids to grab anytime they are hungry during the day. You have saved some money and some time. It's a total win-win, enjoy!
