I love cowboy stew! You can’t go wrong with it and you can throw in anything that suits your fancy. I usually always have these 5 ingredients on hand, so I make it quite often.
It’s a comfort food for my gang. I like to double or triple the recipe to freeze for a later date.
How to Make Slow Cooker Cowboy Stew
Ingredients
- 1 lb of ground beef, browned and drained
- 4 potaotes, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1/4 c of onion, finely chopped
- 8 oz of tomato sauce
- Garlic to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Throw all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours. Taste before serving. If needed add more salt and pepper.
Serves 4
I usually serve this with saltine crackers and a garden salad. It’s easy peasy!
