Slow Cooker Lasagna Recipe!

Be sure to make this slow cooker lasagna recipe when your stomach is empty!

My whole family enjoyed this simple lasagna casserole made in my favorite slow cooker tonight.

Slow Cooker Lasagna Recipe!

Prep Time: 9 minutes

Yield: Serves 8-10

Slow Cooker Lasagna Recipe!

You can subsitute Italian sausage or ground turkey instead of using beef.

Ingredients

2 lb of ground beef, browned
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 T of Italian Seasoning
2 15 oz cans of tomato sauce
12 lasagana noodles, uncooked
2 lb of ricotta cheese
2 cups of mozzarella cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 t of salt and pepper

Instructions

Brown meat with onions and seasoning
Drain Fat
Add tomato sauce to meat mixture and mix
Combine ricotta cheese, 1 c of mozzarella cheese, salt, pepper, and egg in a bowl
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray or slow cooker liners
Add a layer of meat mixture
Add a layer of lasagna noodles
Add a layer of cheese mixture
Repeat the layer process one more time and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese
Cook on low for 4 hours

Notes

This taste exactly like lasagna, but sometimes it doesn't look as pretty as lasagna baked in the oven, so I decided to call it lasagna casserole.

If you carefully cut the lasagna, you will be able to serve it in rectangular pieces, but I just threw it on the plate with some green beans and bread, and we all were was satisfied.
