Slow Cooker Taco Soup with Chicken

We love slow cooker taco soup, so I decided to put a little twist in one of our favorite meals.

EASY slow cooker taco soup with chicken

Slow Cooker Taco Soup with Chicken

Ingredients

4 frozen chicken breast
2 cans or rotel tomatoes
2 cans of hominy or corn
2 cans of pinto beans or 3 cups of beans
1 Taco Seasoning packet
1 Ranch Dressing dry packet (I use fiesta)
4 cans of water
shredded cheese
tortilla chips
sour cream (optional)

Instructions

Place all ingredients in slow cooker except cheese, tortilla chips and sour cream.
Cook on high for 4 hours or low 7-8.
shred or dice chicken.
Serve with cheese and tortilla chips
Place a dollop of sour cream.

    Do you cook the chicken first or just cut up and put in the crockpot?

      I do not cut it up or cook it first. I shred after it’s cooked in the slow cooker.
